We began running our harvest mice photography workshops in 2017 and these workshops are suitable for all levels of photographer. From the seasoned Pro who is wanting to add something different to an ever increasing portfolio, through to beginners wishing to photograph these wonderful tiny and acrobatic mammals, we cater for all.

Information.

Our little harvest mice have been photographed with everything from a mobile phone, bridge camera and of course high end equipment, so there really are no limitations on this workshop.

Workshops are held naturally and outdoors within a beautiful rural location and surrounded by ancient woodland. Being outdoors offers varying, different and distant natural backgrounds for your images. Possibilities for a wide variety of images is easily achievable and due to our unique 'book and the time is yours policy', you will not have to share the session with other photographers! You book, the workshop is yours and there is no extra charge for individual bookings.

Our aim is complete customer satisfaction and for you to achieve the maximum from your visit, there is nothing worse than someone standing in front of you just as a mouse decides to do something comical! Or, that you are the last person firing the trigger with flash setups and all you get is a black screen! It's all straightforward and natural with a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Beginners need not worry as Dean is always on hand to answer any questions or offer any advice with settings etc. if required.

We offer both morning and afternoon sessions with these incredibly acrobatic mammals. Each session will run for a period of two hours, and times stated are strict! This is extremely important for the welfare and well-being of our mice and also allows Dean time to meet and greet other customers that have booked before or after you.

Why not look at our double trouble day?
This includes 2 hours of our climbing session, followed by 2 hours of our woodland theme, or our new old shed themed session.

Equipment

Macro lenses are recommended for the harvest mice workshops, simply because this allows you to get up close and personal. However, visiting customers have used an array of lenses, including 100mm-400mm and 150mm-600mm Sigma sport, so you are not governed to just macro work and photographic opportunities are not limited due to our natural backgrounds and setting. Customers have also photographed our mice using bridge cameras & mobile phone. Please wear appropriate clothing for your visit and good footwear as you will be standing in a field when photographing the harvest mice.
